My mom and I are best friends, we love to do just about everything together and she is ALWAYS there for me no matter what. She is the most amazing women in the world and I just hope that I am half the mom to my kids that she is to me.
One of our many things we do together is quilting. Just ask her and she will tell you I princess quilt. What is princess quilting you ask? Well it's when you don't like to cut your fabric so you have your mom do it for you. You sew everything together and iron (when Aunti Marilyn isn't there to iron for you). Once the top is finished then my mom takes it to be quilted by her friend that owns a long arm and does beautiful designs on the quilt. After that my mom does the binding (I HATE HAND STITCHING) and then I create the label to go on the back of the quilt.
So here is some of our work that we did for two baby-showers that we had this weekend.
Wow, Cam.. these are so cute! Yep, it's my first quilt, and I liked it, once my mom showed me how to do it right. Now, I have to buy some background fabric and batting for it. And, with Tanner and Drake, T does not have night terrors, although, I think he used to. He would wake up and you couldn't really get through to him, which is the same way I was when I was little. I had them, and I still remember the feeling and being so scared, and feeling like whatever I was seeing was real. That is a scary thing.
