Sorry guys I have been slacking a little bit on my blog. :( But I do have a reason, Drakey was sick with the flu and then he was kind enough to share it with me. And we have had house guests for the past two weeks....Soooooooo here I am getting back on track.
A little funny story from my lovely little 4 year old.
This past weekend we ran away to San Francisco for a little family Valentine's Day dinner with the Callejo's. As you guys might know it's Chinese New Year as well and if you know anything about Chinese New Year you look forward to the little red envelopes. So when we got to dinner Aunti Julie handed each of the boys their red envelopes. Drake's little eyes were full of excitement when he realized just what was in the red envelope.
So upon returning home Drake went up stairs to find his pants that had to red envelope in it. Well those pants were in the suitcase full of dirty clothes in his room. So when he came down stairs proud with his money in hand I knew what happened up in his room. I was making dinner so I asked Drake if he dumped all his clothes out that were in his suitcase to find his money. Oh so proudly he replied, Yep mom, I sure did. So I asked him to go upstairs and put all the clothes in the dirty hamper that he took out of the suitcase. He thought about it for a minute and then asked if everything was dirty and I said yes.
At this point I was proud and happy that he hadn't argued with me at all and was on his way up stairs to clean up his mess. Then he stopped half way up the stairs and said, "Mom, why should I do your chores for you?" My jaw dropped wide open, I couldn't believe he had actually just said that to me. I looked at Ricky and he just laughed...............hmmmm wonder where he gets it from??? So here comes Drake down the stairs, "Mom, I'm all done. I did your chores for you." He really had no idea what he was saying to me or how much trouble he was in for saying it. So I just let it roll off my back, but after the 2nd comment I had to put him in his place. So I told him "Drakey, keep it up dude and you will have no clean underwear."
I love this kid with all my heart and soul, but I swear to the Lord above I will beat him if he ever says anything to me again about my chores again. :)
